Holy Cross Anglican Church is seeking a Worship Director / Artist-in-Residence to help cultivate a worshiping community marked by robust congregational participation, sound doctrine, and joyful expression through the arts (Col. 3:16). We are seeking to live as a Gospel-shaped people following Christ for the glory of God in the reformational Anglican tradition. We believe worship is a critical aspect of discipleship. Worship at Holy Cross is not performance-driven or style-defined, but people-centered and God-directed—where the whole body actively glorifies God (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 14:26).
Holy Cross is a parish of the Anglican Church in North America, serving a growing community of more than 250 adults and children, with an average Sunday attendance of approximately 150. Located just two blocks from the beach, we are a joyful and committed ministry team seeking to be a faithful gospel witness in a rapidly growing region.

Piano proficiency required; guitar helpful

Maintain a thoughtful balance of hymns, psalms, and contemporary music
Teach and model why we worship the way we do, deepening the congregation’s understanding of Anglican liturgy and congregational singing

Recruit, lead, and pastor musicians and singers with a shepherd’s heart
Oversee scheduling, coordination, and communication for worship ministries

Artist-in-Residence
Holy Cross believes faithful creativity is an important expression of our life in Christ and a meaningful witness to the world (Exod. 31:1–5; Matt. 5:16). This role includes space for artistic growth and development, engagement with the broader artistic community, and opportunities to foster missional engagement through the arts.
Qualifications
A deep love for Jesus Christ and a commitment to growing in spiritual maturity (Phil. 3:12–14; Col. 1:28)
A desire to see God’s people formed through the Word and Spirit (John 17:17; 2 Cor. 3:18)
Experience leading congregational singing in a church context
Strong piano proficiency (required); guitar strongly desired
Comfort working with a variety of musical settings, including organ, choir, strings, guitars, etc.
Familiar with/openness to liturgical worship and Anglican theology and practice
Ability to disciple, organize, and pastor volunteers well (2 Tim. 2:2)
A heart for intergenerational worship (Deut. 6:4–7; Ps. 145:4)
